Description
This avian portrait in soft pastel pictures the European robin which is a somewhat different species than the North American version. This bird, also called robin redbreast, is a motif commonly associated with the Christmas holiday in the United Kingdom. I have paired the robin with subtle green pine needles to enhance the red-orange tones of its plumage and also to give the work a winter holiday feeling.
