Description
"Reign of Roses" In this painting the eyes at the top of the canvas represent observation, judgements and consciousness; stepping out of one's self to see a situation. The Egyptian hieroglyphics symbolize that getting along with others is without question important. Every person involved must be considered and there should be equal treatment. A refusal to accept conditions that aren't respectful. The window signifies perspective or insight; seeing clearly an outlook or a situation and being aware of future possibilities. The opened book represents ideas, information, insights and answers; education. The cow is symbolic of mothering, nurturing feelings and can also reflect a desire to be cared for. The sun symbolizes optimism or a positive outlook on a situation; a situation that provides clarity, enlightenment, or reveals truth. Something that forces one to see only the positive. The roses represent faithfulness, passion, desire, romance and admiration. The butterfly almost hidden behind the woman's hands symbolizes issues that are important or special such as personal relationships one does not want to give up or change. Her pearls symbolize having admiration and appreciation. That her hands reach above denotes capability, competence and the capacity to manifest personal choices. That the female is nude is symbolic of feeling free of restraints, unencumbered, open and sincere. Total confidence, not caring what others think, having nothing to hide. Enjoyment of exposed truth.
