Description
"Arisen" evolved from, and revolves around, the female's facial expression which reflects her mental, emotional and physical state. It is one single moment in time. That moment in which a personal decision is made from within. The decision that she will not accept into her life that which does not compliment and support her goals, desires and dreams. It is a moment in time when she realizes her self-worth and mortality. She has but one life; no time of it should be wasted being anyone else other than who she authentically and genuinely is, no matter her present circumstances. Each symbol represents an element of "her story". The golden liquid represents inspiration. It "flows" into and through her. It is golden, symbolizing priceless and precious. The stone wall in the background represents the obstacles she has, and does face. Her emotions are represented by the glass jar as a vase with flowers; the flowers her feelings, held together within the container and some overflowing. The glass jar although strong, yet fragile, depending of its treatment and care. It is transparent, symbolizing that no matter how hard a person may try " to hold it together", emotions eventually are revealed. The mosaic represents antiquity; that from the beginning of human existence we are entitled to a life in which we can live true to ourselves. The pink rose, yellow daisy and green leaves represent the grace surrounding her and appearing into her life through different forms. The bracelet on her arm symbolizes her strength, conviction and determination. The small paintings represent the potential and possibilities of her future. Each color also holds meaning respective to its given symbol.
