Description
"Justifiable Sacrifice" A statement in a movie caught my attention one night. Not because I agreed with it but because I highly disagreed with it. You will probably recognize it. " There's no such thing as a justifiable sacrifice." My painting "Justifiable Sacrifice" was conceived. In my opinion a life well lived is all about sacrifice. However, I do not see it as sacrifice but rather selflessness and unconditional love. The Egyptian figures represent aspects of ones self that recognizes getting along with others as important. They also symbolize enjoyment from not caring about having to achieve a goal in a set, perfect way; having a down to earth attitude. The tassels hanging down from the top right corner symbolize someone else or a situation as being perfect in its imperfections. The magnolia blossom at the center represents love. The female having brunette hair is symbolic of a thinking style that is unconcerned with being noticed by others. The bridge is indicative of transition and that it is built of ironwork represents an unwavering stance, resilience and strength. The dolphins symbolize trustworthiness and social altruism, friendliness and cooperation. Also they represent bonding well with others or a selfless concern for others' well being.

This is fantastic. I like the juxtaposition of soft, warm beauty and the spikes on the fence.
